Begin your journey with a spectacular flight into Paro and a scenic transfer to the capital city of Thimphu, where you’ll stroll traditional markets, visit monastic fortresses, and admire Bhutanese craftsmanship. Journey onward to Punakha, the former capital, through the picturesque Dochula Pass, and marvel at the majestic Punakha Dzong and the fertility temple of Chimi Lhakhang.

Return to Paro to explore its charming town and sacred landmarks, culminating in a hike to the iconic Tiger’s Nest Monastery (Taktsang)—a spiritual and visual highlight perched high on a cliff face. Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival in Paro – Drive to Thimphu +

Upon arrival in Paro, enjoy a scenic flight along the majestic Himalayan range from Kathmandu. After immigration formalities, transfer to Thimphu, Bhutan’s capital. En route, stop at Chuzom to view the picturesque confluence of the Thimphu and Paro rivers. Evening free to explore the main streets, local market, and traditional crafts bazaar in Thimphu.

Day 2 : Thimphu Sightseeing +

Begin your exploration with visits to the National Library, Institute for Zorig Chusum (traditional arts school), Textile Museum, and Simply Bhutan Museum. After lunch, continue to Pangri Zampa Monastery, Buddha Point (Kuensel Phodrang) for stunning panoramic views, the King's Memorial Chorten, and the majestic Trashichhoedzong.

Day 3 : Thimphu to Punakha +

Depart for Punakha via the scenic Dochula Pass (3,080 m), where, on a clear day, the eastern Himalayas provide a breathtaking backdrop. In Punakha, visit the magnificent Punakha Dzong, located at the confluence of the Pho and Mo Chhu rivers, and walk to Chimi Lhakhang, the fertility temple of Lama Drukpa Kuenley. Explore the Punakha village in the evening.

Day 4 : Punakha to Paro +

After breakfast, drive back to Paro via Simtokha Dzong, the oldest fortress in Bhutan. Upon arrival, visit Ta Dzong (National Museum) and the imposing Rinpung Dzong. Explore Paro’s charming town, walk through its traditional streets, and enjoy views of the Paro.

Day 5 : Hike to Tiger’s Nest Monastery +

Embark on a memorable hike to Taktsang Monastery, also known as the Tiger’s Nest. Perched dramatically on a cliffside, this iconic site offers awe-inspiring views and deep spiritual resonance. Return to Paro for a traditional hot stone bath or a cultural evening with Bhutanese cuisine and folk dances (optional).

Day 6 : Departure from Paro +
